C-IAS Halal Accreditation
C-IAS, in collaboration with the Halal Development Centre (HDC), provides accreditation to Halal conformity assessment bodies across multiple sectors in accordance with internationally and regionally recognized standards and schemes. C-IAS’s role is to evaluate and verify the accreditation principles and procedures of applicants seeking Halal certification, while HDC contributes as subject-matter experts to ensure competence in specialized Halal areas.

The C-IAS-HDC: 1955-1:2022 Standard defines the principles and requirements for the competence, consistency, and impartiality of bodies providing audits, certifications, inspections, and testing. Accredited certification bodies follow internationally recognized standards such as ISO 17021, ISO 17065, and C-IAS’s operational criteria to ensure reliable and credible Halal certification.
